Licenses and Third-Party Notices

Effective date: July 6, 2026. Wavik uses third-party software, SDKs, services, maps, weather sources, AI providers, and infrastructure to operate the app.

This page summarizes key notices. Third-party services remain subject to their own terms, licenses, and privacy commitments.

1. Platform and app services

  • Apple: iOS, SwiftUI, StoreKit, Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, and related Apple frameworks are provided under Apple's developer terms and platform licenses.
  • RevenueCat: subscription entitlement and purchase infrastructure may be provided by RevenueCat and remains subject to RevenueCat terms and documentation.

2. Maps, places, and location data

  • Mapbox: map rendering, tiles, place search, geocoding, and SDK functionality may be provided by Mapbox under Mapbox terms.
  • OpenStreetMap and public water data: some water or map-derived context may originate from OpenStreetMap, public hydrology datasets, government sources, or regional providers. Attribution and license requirements vary by source.
  • Regional providers: Wavik may use regional map, place, or water providers where appropriate for coverage or compliance.

3. Weather, marine, tide, hydrology, and alerts

Wavik may use public agencies, weather APIs, marine forecast sources, tide or hydrology providers, and official alert feeds. Forecasts and alerts can be delayed, incomplete, or changed by the source provider. Always check official sources before fishing.

4. AI and media services

Wavik may use AI providers, object storage, and media-processing infrastructure for trip plans, catch media assistance, private review, and support workflows. AI output is advisory and does not replace official safety or legal information.

5. Website and open-source components

The Wavik website is built with Astro and related open-source packages. Package-level license details are available from each package's repository and package metadata.
