Terms of Use

Effective date: July 6, 2026. These Terms govern your use of the Wavik mobile app, website, APIs, and related services.

1. Using Wavik

Wavik is a planning, mapping, logging, and review tool for anglers. You may use it only if you can form a binding agreement and follow these Terms and applicable law.

You are responsible for your account, device, session security, and all activity under your account.

2. Safety and regulations

Wavik may show weather, tide, marine, water, map, compliance, and AI planning information. This information may be incomplete, delayed, wrong, or unavailable.

You remain responsible for checking official sources, local rules, access restrictions, water conditions, emergency notices, and personal safety before fishing.

3. AI guidance

AI recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees of a catch and not a substitute for official safety, legal, conservation, or navigation advice. Do not rely on AI output for emergency decisions.

4. Private spots and user content

You are responsible for the spots, logs, notes, photos, media, and other content you add. Do not upload content you do not have rights to use, and do not share private or restricted locations in ways that violate law, property rights, conservation rules, or community safety.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant Wavik the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, analyze, display, and operate the service for you.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Paid features may be offered through Apple in-app purchase or other supported platforms. Subscription terms, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing are handled by the relevant app store unless otherwise stated.

6. Prohibited use

  • Do not misuse the service, disrupt APIs, bypass security, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Do not scrape, resell, or bulk export service data except where explicitly allowed.
  • Do not use Wavik to harass others, expose private locations without permission, or encourage illegal fishing activity.
  • Do not upload malicious code, unlawful content, or content that infringes another party's rights.

7. Service changes

Wavik may change, suspend, or discontinue features, providers, data sources, regions, or platform support. We may also update these Terms when needed. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Wavik is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make while fishing or traveling.
